The University of Zululand currently runs on four faculties, and they include the following:

University Of Zululand General Admission Criteria 2025

All the faculties run at Zululand University make use of the following minimum new National Senior Certificate (NSC) achievement ratings for admission to the following categories: undergraduate degree, diploma, and bachelor’s degree.

Degree;

To enrol in a degree course at the University of Zululand, gain an NSC with an achievement rating of 4 (50%) in four recognised 20-credit subjects and also an achievement rating of 3 (40%) in life orientation. achievement rating of 3 (40%) in English as a First Additional Language (FAL), or 4 (50%) in English as a Home Language;

Diploma

The minimum admission requirement to present is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by Umalusi with an achievement rating of 3 (moderate achievement, 40-49%) or higher, 4 recognized NSC 20-credit subjects. have an achievement rating of 3 (40-49%) in life orientation and an achievement rating of 3 (40-49%) in English as First Additional Language (FAL), or 4 (50-59%) in English as a Home Language.

Higher Certificate

To study high certificate courses, a minimum requirement is a National Senior Certificate, which is certified by Umalusi. Aside from the minimum rating required, every faulty has its minimum entry requirement.
