If you have applied to study at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), it’s important to know how to check your application status. After this, you will receive an SMS confirming that your application has been received, please note, this is not an acceptance notice. To check your CPUT application status, you can use your Student Number or your name by visiting www.cput.ac.za. Follow the steps below to check the status of your 2026–2027 application at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT):
Possible Outcome Of CPUT 2026-2027 Application
The status of your application may read as the following;
Your application was received. CPUT does not send outcomes via post or email.
Your application is incomplete and won’t be processed. Contact the Application and Registration Centre (ARC) via CPUT Enquiries.
Your application has been sent to the relevant faculty for evaluation.
You have been referred to the Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP). For details, contact the ARC or Call Centre at 021 959 6767.
You will be fully accepted based on your 2025 NSC results. Track updates from 16–22 January 2026. Accepted applicants must register within 48 hours of notification or lose their space.
You are on a waiting list due to limited space. You may be accepted if space opens before year-end, after NSC results are released in January 2026, or after registration in February 2026. Accepted applicants must register within 48 hours of notification.
