NSFAS CPUT
NSFAS CPUT
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) offers crucial financial support to eligible students at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). This assistance covers essential expenses such as tuition fees, registration fees, accommodation, meals, learning materials, transport, and personal care allowances. NSFAS bursaries help ensure that students can focus on their studies without financial stress, as they cover registration, tuition, and allowances for books, travel, meals, and accommodation.
These funds are provided as loans, which must be repaid once the student secures employment and earns over R30,000 annually or R2,500 monthly. To be eligible for NSFAS funding, students must be South African citizens or permanent residents, with a combined household income of R350,000 or less per year, and must be enrolled at a public university or TVET college. This financial aid plays a vital role in helping students pursue higher education, ensuring that cost is not a barrier to their academic and professional success.
