• Also, combinations of NSC subjects and achievement levels may be required depending on the program.

Students with International School-Leaving Results:

• Applications from students with international school-leaving qualifications are assessed according to the “Higher Education South Africa (HESA) guideline document, ‘A Guide to Application for Exemption Certificates.
• If necessary, international qualifications will be submitted to SAQA for benchmarking as per HEQC standards. These students will receive assistance from WSU’s international office.

Mature Age Endorsements:

• Admission based on a Mature Age Endorsement will follow Rule 1.13 in the General Prospectus.

• 4 Subjects – The 4 subjects in which the student scored the highest marks excluding life orientation and Category 1 subjects.
• The 4 subjects must include the subjects that are specifically required for the qualification.
