How Long Does It Take For CPUT To Respond To Late Applications?
Are you a prospective student who could not apply on time during the application period? Worry no more as CPUT now accepts late applications. Late applications for the academic year at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology are open in January.
Late applications for 2025 at CPUT will be accepted only for identified programmes with available spaces and are open to the following categories of applicants; students who exhausted 1 or 2 options out of the maximum of 3 choices during the normal application timelines, students who did not apply during the normal application timelines (maximum of 3 choices), students transferring from other universities, CPUT students who took a gap in their studies and wish to continue, and CPUT students looking to complete their phasing-out programmes.
These applications do not apply to Full Research Master’s and Doctoral programmes, which remain open to all applicants until 14 March 2025. How Long Does It Take For CPUT To Respond To Late Applications?
Once you have applied, A response will be communicated within approximately 7 days to the email address that was provided. Therefore applicants are required to provide a correct email address during the application process. CPUT will contact you via your provided email address a few days after your application has been received.
However, applicants must ensure that they meet the admission requirements upload the required documents and go through the application process accordingly to be accepted for admission. Also, Selections will be conducted within the respective Faculties and the outcome will be communicated via SMS to the applicant.

The following documents are required to complete the online application;
- Certified ID copy.
- Matric certificate.
- Grade 11 report (if currently in matric)
- Academic record (If currently a student)

Submit your completed application to apply.
How To Track The Status Of Your CPUT Application
Track the status/outcome of your late application(s) via https://www.cput.ac.za/study/track as CPUT does not post or email the outcome to applicants. The status of the application is released a few days after your application has been accepted.
