CPUT Student Blackboard

CPUT Student Blackboard

The CPUT Student Blackboard, also called MyClassroom, is an online learning system used by students at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. It works like a virtual classroom where students can access notes, videos, assignments, and tests for their courses.

The platform helps students keep up with their studies by providing important updates from lecturers, as well as schedules and deadlines for their work. It also allows students to join discussions, check their grades, and stay organized throughout the term. The goal of MyClassroom is to support learning by combining classroom lessons with online resources, making it easier for students to study from anywhere at any time.

To use the system, students need to log in at https://myclassroom.cput.ac.za with their student number and password. It’s a helpful tool for managing coursework, staying informed, and communicating with lecturers and classmates.

CPUT Student Blackboard

The MyClassroom platform, managed by the Centre for e-Learning, offers both students and lecturers a range of online tools to support teaching and learning on one easy-to-use system. Students can complete online tests and assignments through MyClassroom and use interactive tools like discussion forums, group workspaces, blogs, and journals to stay engaged in their courses.

The platform also provides a safe learning environment, allowing students to link their social media accounts if they choose, with options to filter content and adjust privacy settings to keep their personal and academic profiles separate.

In addition to my classroom, some departments are introducing new technologies to improve the learning experience. For example, students may use tablets and apps in their studies, while others can benefit from video recordings and podcasts of lectures. Students can access MyClassroom by visiting http://myclassroom.cput.ac.za.
