Online Application Date For Postgraduate 2026-2027
The application deadline for first-time master’s and doctoral full research programs is 14 March, applicable to both national and international applicants.
For first-time master’s coursework programs, the deadlines are 30 September for national applicants and 30 August for international applicants. However, Applications for Honours, Masters and Doctoral programmes are accepted all year round.

Required Documents To Apply For CPUT Postgraduate 2026-2027
Certified copies of the following documents are required to complete the postgraduate application for the 2026-2027 academic year;
- ID Document – Include a certified copy of the first page of your ID (not older than 3 months).
- National Senior Certificate – Provide a certified copy of your National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification (not older than 3 months).
- Other Qualifications – If you studied at any other institution, submit your original academic record and certificate of conduct, or certified copies of your certificates, diplomas, or degrees (not older than 3 months).
- Name Change Proof – If the name on your National Senior Certificate is different from the name on your application, include proof of the name change.
International Applicants
International applicants must submit certified copies of the following documents (certified within the last 3 months):
- Permanent Residency Applicants – Passport and proof of permanent residency or SA ID document/card.
- Refugees/Asylum Seekers – Temporary permit or formal recognition of refugee status in South Africa.
- General Requirement – Passport.
Additional requirements based on your country:
- Congo-Brazzaville – Submit the Liste des Admis au Bac.
- DRC (Congo) – Submit the Journal with your qualifications.
- WAEC/NECO Applicants – Submit a scratch card.
- Applicants from Angola, Cameroon, and other countries not listed – Provide a letter from your country’s embassy confirming the authenticity of your documents.
- All international applicants must submit a SAQA certificate with their application.
