If you could not apply on time during the Cape Peninsula University of Technology application period, this is your chance to do so now as the online application portal has been opened for late applications for the 2026 academic year. The online application portal will be open from 7 to 10 January. Late applications will only be accepted for specific programmes with available spaces, applicants who exhausted only 1 or 2 options out of the maximum of 3 choices for applications submitted during the normal application timelines and applicants who did not apply during the normal application timelines (maximum of 3 choices).

Online Late Application Fee At CPUT 2026

Required Documents For CPUT Online Late Applications 2026
Certified copies of the following documents are required to complete the online application process for the 2026 academic year;
South African Applicants:
- A certified copy of the first page of your Identity Document or Birth Certificate.
- A certified copy of your Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification. If you are currently in Grade 12, please submit your marks obtained in Grade 11.
- Certified copies of the original Academic record and Certificate of Conduct, or certified copies of other certificates/ diplomas/ degrees you obtained previously from any other higher education institution.
International Applicants
- Permanent Residency Applicants: Passport and proof of Permanent Residency or South African ID.
- Refugee/Asylum Seekers: Temporary permit or formal recognition of refugee status in South Africa.
Passport. - School-Leaving Certificate (with English translation if not in English).
- Congo-Brazzaville Applicants: Liste des Admis au Bac and an English translation.
- Democratic Republic of Congo Applicants: Sixth-year Bulletin: Diplom D’Etat, journal, transcripts, or embassy confirmation of results.
- Angolan Applicants: Portuguese results and an English translation.
- Applicants from Gabon, Cameroon, Bangladesh, and Burundi: French results with an English translation.
- English Translations: Must be stamped by a sworn translator.
- International Nursing Applicants: Approval of nursing qualifications from SAQA, proof of temporary registration with SANC (for two years), and a valid study permit.

CPUT Late Application General Information
Selections will be made within the respective Faculties, and the results will be communicated to the applicant via SMS. Only completed applications with the required supporting documents will be considered. Applications must follow the outlined process to be valid.
Manual submissions will not be accepted unless specified for certain non-degree programmes. Postal or courier submissions are not allowed. Please note that the residence department does not accept late applications due to limited space.
