CPUT Late Online Application 2026-2027

This is your chance to secure your spot at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology if you could not apply during the application period for the 2026-2027 academic year. The online application portal is open one more time for both undergraduate and postgraduate late applications for the academic year. Late applications for the 2026-2027 academic year will be open online from 7 to 10 January 2026, therefore prospective students can APPLY NOW. The application portal is open for Only programmes with available spaces.

Applicants must meet the admission requirements and complete their applications on the university’s official website before the deadline. No applications will be accepted after the deadline. Prospective students must visit the official website of CPUT to complete the application form with the required information, upload supporting documents and submit before the closing date. Manual application submission will not be considered except otherwise. Each Faculty will handle the selection process, and applicants will be notified of the outcome via SMS.

Late Online Application Date For CPUT 2026-2027

The online application portal for late applications to the 2026-2027 academic year will be open from 7 to 10 January. Prospective students must apply within this time frame to secure their spot at the university.

Late applications for 2025 will be available only for specific programmes with available spaces and will accommodate the following categories: applicants who used only 1 or 2 of their 3 application choices during the normal application period, those who did not apply during the regular application period (up to 3 choices), students transferring from other universities, CPUT students returning after a study gap, and applicants for phasing-out programmes (where applicable); however, no 4th choice under the Dean’s Discretionary process will be considered during this late application period.

CPUT Late Application Fee 2026-2027

Online applications are free of charge, but a fee of R150 is required for late applications to CPUT for the 2026-2027 academic year. Be sure to keep proof of payment for reference.

Required Documents For CPUT 2026-2027 Late Application

The following documents are required to complete the CPUT Late application for 2026-2027 ;

For South African Applicants:

A certified copy of the first page of your Identity Document or Birth Certificate.
A certified copy of your Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification. If you are currently in Grade 12, submit your Grade 11 marks.
Certified copies of your original Academic Record and Certificate of Conduct, or certified copies of other certificates, diplomas, or degrees obtained from any previous higher education institution.

For International Applicants:

Permanent Residency Applicants: Submit a certified copy of your passport and proof of Permanent Residency or South African ID.
Refugee/Asylum Seekers: Submit a certified copy of your temporary permit or formal recognition of refugee status in South Africa.
Passport: A certified copy of your passport.
School-Leaving Certificate: If your certificate is not in English, please provide an English translation.

Specific Requirements for Certain Countries:

Congo-Brazzaville Applicants: Submit Liste des Admis au Bac along with an English translation.
Democratic Republic of Congo Applicants: Provide your Sixth-year Bulletin, Diplom D’Etat, journal, transcripts, or embassy confirmation of results.
Angolan Applicants: Submit Portuguese results with an English translation.
Applicants from Gabon, Cameroon, Bangladesh, and Burundi: Provide French results with an English translation.

English Translations: These must be stamped by a sworn translator.

For International Nursing Applicants:

Approval of nursing qualifications from SAQA.
Proof of temporary registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) for two years.
Valid study permit.

On the home page, click on “Study at CPUT”
You will be redirected to a page, provide your ID / Passport / Asylum number (as on your application form)/ your Student Number and your full First Name.
Click on “GET MY APPLICATION STATUS”
