Cape Peninsula University Of Technology Admission Requirements 2026-2027
The CPUT admission requirements differ based on the choice of your program. Here is the list of CPUT admission requirements and they are as follows;
- Passes of at least five different subjects of the IGCSE and HIGCSE study levels, of which at least two are HIGCSE level subjects.
- A pass in the language which is the medium of instruction at the University (English or Afrikaans).
- Specific pass grades: IGCSE: A, B or C; HIGCSE: 1, 2 or 3. Other senior school qualifications will be reviewed on merit.
Documents Needed For CPUT Admission Application 2026-2027

South African Applicants:
- A certified copy of the first page of your Identity Document (ID) or Birth Certificate.

- Refugee/Asylum Seekers: Provide your temporary permit or formal recognition of refugee status in South Africa.
- General Passport: A copy of your passport.
- School-Leaving Certificate: If your certificate is not in English, you will need to provide an English translation. Specific requirements for applicants from certain countries:
- Congo-Brazzaville: Liste des Admis au Bac (with English translation).
- Democratic Republic of Congo: Provide a Sixth-year Bulletin or Diplom D’État, along with transcripts or embassy confirmation of your results.
- Angola: Provide Portuguese results along with an English translation.
- Gabon, Cameroon, Bangladesh, Burundi: Provide French results with an English translation.
- All translations must be stamped by a sworn translator.
- International Nursing Applicants: You will need approval of your nursing qualifications from SAQA, proof of temporary registration with SANC (for two years), and a valid study permit.
